Did you install it using the "Upload Package File" method in the Admin section?

I think that method can cause issues because the downloaded file is not in the correct format for installation. I recommend placing the com_hello file in the components folder on the admin side and using the "Discover" method instead.

The same error happens for me with chapter 11 files and it happens on local installation as well at site of my webhoster.

I downloaded sample code from

I noticed an error as the folder is named language but needs to be "languages" - i corrected

But after installing the code successfully under "Components" - "Hello component" i get error 404, component not found

Please advise, thank you Christian
