How to Update Joomla Version 4 by Joomla Package File (Manual Update)

The reasons why we should update Joomla are to update the functions that the developer team of Joomla provide and to keep a website safe such as safety of working, safety of data. They are factors that users can assure on a website's safety. There are many interesting functions and extensions like Modules and Plugins. To upgrade the abilities of the website, there are 2 ways to update Joomla: it can update on Joomla, we have to download the Joomla package file to install. This article will mention how to install the Joomla package which is the case that we cannot update on Joomla.

• Update Joomla 4 to be a recent version as follows.
  1. Open Joomla 4 in a part of administration. Click here.
  
  2. Download the Joomla package file which can be downloaded on Joomla Downloads website, and click on Upgrade Joomla.

  3.After going to the page on the website that can download the recent version of Joomla, scroll down to the word Update Existing Joomla! Installations, then click on the zip file.

  6. After that there will be a text "Update your site by manually uploading the update

  7. Click on the Joomla package file that has been downloaded, and click the checkbox and Upload & Install.

  8. After that click on Joomla update page and fill up the username and password of the admin.

  10. If the installation is finish, it will show the text “ Your website has been updated”

To summarize, we can update Joomla to the latest version though it cannot update on Joomla by the Joomla package file. This way is to download a zip file on the main website where Joomla was updated ,and then install and update Joomla. We are just waiting for the update.
